Tipping Etiquette
Restaurants
Half of the restaurants include a 10% service fee; if yours doesn't, leave 10-15% in a top restaurant, and 10% in a regular one.
Hotels
You may tip the concierge $20 when you check in or out of the hotel, cleaning staff - $2/day left in the room, porters - $1/bag, doormen $1-2 if they call a cab.
Guides & Drivers
Tip 10% of the fee.
Dollars Accepted?
In Taipei, yes. Outside the cities, tip in the local currency.
*They don't have tipping in the culture, but if you tip people, they'll be really happy
